Cosmopolitan (before and after)

here’s the original “Cosmopolitan” (as heard on John’s independently release Welcome Back CD) :

and here’s “Cosmopolitan” after I had my way with it, thanks to four (4!) drum parts played by John Ferraro and myself. I also had the idea to add the vibey/lofi/mono jazz break @ 2:06 - sort of a quick mind trip to the ‘cosmopolitan’ city scene - with the harmon mute trumpet solo played by the legendary Jerry Hey.

Welcome Back

I love the space we left in John’s song “Welcome Back”… plenty of air to breathe… dig the room when we come back to the groove after the piano solo (dripping with feel, played by Steve Einerson).
