A few of my favorite songs from 2006 came from Maritime’s “We, The Vehicles.”

Tearing Up The Oxygen just gets me moving everytime I hear it and it’s become one of my favorite songs to pull up on my iPod during road trips.

Calm is also a fave, but only became so after seeing them live last year… on the CD it’s not quite as powerful and energized as seeing it live, sweaty, urgent, in a club setting.

My pal, Kristian Riley (with whom I co-produced The Farewell Circuit’s debut EP), produced “We, The Vehicles,” and now I get to watch firsthand as Stuart Sikes (Modest Mouse, The White Stripes) produces their follow-up here at Burst HQ. I’m stoked, to say the least.
